Day 1
And we’re off!
74 of our incredible fundraisers kicked off their Monday with the first leg of their 4 day cycling challenge in Florida.
The route took us from Cocoa Beach to Jupiter which is a lengthy 118 miles!
We were hit with scorching sun which blazed down at 28 degrees along with strong side winds off the coast and even a few showers!
We are beyond proud of every single one of them for digging deep and pushing through such a long, tough day.
Day 2
Jupiter to Miami and another 89 miles in the bag for the group.
We were greeted with much more headwind today (just look at the palm trees!) Which provided for really difficult riding conditions.
We’re amazed by the constant determination of our incredible riders and seeing the camaraderie between the group is so special!
Day 3
Miami to Marathon!
Another fantastic day on the bike for this lot.
We were finally blessed with some tail wind which made a HUGE difference compared to the past 2 days of tough head winds.
Morale was high as the group sped through the route like the superhero’s they are!
Now time for some recovery before the big finale tomorrow!
Day 4
Marathon to Key west
Our final day on this incredible challenge, cycling from Cocoa Beach and reaching our finishing destination of Key West!
Today our riders were hit with even worse weather in the form of a tropical storm when the sky’s opened and down came the pouring rain, causing lots of the bike paths to flood.
But they did it!!! What a phenomenal effort from everyone!
Thank you to our incredible sponsors MSS, Philtronics Ltd, Andrew Scott Ltd and Hugh James for making this event possible!
