Wear Red 2024!
Our Wear Red campaign is back for 2024 and this year Peter’s, the leading Welsh pastry baker, has joined us to help make it the biggest and best year yet!
You joined us as schools, businesses, community groups and individuals to #WearRed on Friday the 2nd February, and fundraised for Velindre. By wearing red, you showed support for our Rugby Teams ahead of their 6 Nations opener and raised vital funds for Velindre – Wales’ largest cancer centre.
This year we are continuing to raise money for the Wear Red campaign until the end of March 2024 because the wonderful team over at Peters have joined us in switching from green to RED! For the first time ever Peters product packaging is now RED to support Velindre and raise as much as possible for the Wear Red campaign!
The new packaging features a QR code in which supporters can donate to directly to the Wear Red campaign. With the support of Peters we are hoping to reach our target of £100,000 for this years Wear Red for Wales and Velindre.
Gwisgo Coch 2024!
Mae ein hymgyrch Gwisgo Coch yn nôl am 2024 ac mae Peter’s, wedi ymuno ni i wneud y flwyddyn yma’r un gorau erioed!
Wnaethoch chi ymuno ni fel ysgolion, fusnesau, grwpiau cymunedol ac unigolion i #GwisgoCoch ar Ddydd Gwener yr 2ail o Chwefror a codi arian i Felindre. Trwy wisgo coch wnaethoch chi dangos eich cymorth i ein tîm rygbi cenedlaethol cyn twrnamaint Chwe Gwlad ac i godi arian angenrheidiol i Felindre – Canolfan Canser fwyaf Cymru.
Eleni rydym yn parhau i godi arian ar gyfer ymgyrch gwisgo coch hyd at ddiwedd mis Mawrth gan fod Peters wedi ymuno ni wrth droi o wyrdd i GOCH! Am y tro cyntaf erioed mae Peters mae pecynnau’r nwyddau wedi troi’n GOCH i gefnogi Felindre a chodi gymaint ag sy’n bosib ar gyfer ymgyrch gwisgo coch.
Mae’r pecynnau newydd yn cynnwys cod QR sy’n caniatáu cefnogwyr i roi yn syth i ymgyrch gwisgo coch. Efo cefnogaeth Peters eleni, rydym yn gobeithio o gyrraedd ein targed o £100,000 am Wisgo Coch i Gymru a Felindre.

If you weren’t able to get involved on the 2nd Feb, or you’d simply like to join us in extending Wear Red 2024, we’d like to invite you too hold your own Wear Red event throughout the next few weeks to help raise as much as possible for cancer patients and families in Wales.
From raising money on Six Nations match day to wearing red on St. Davids Day, it all makes a difference. Let’s join together and celebrate Wales and Velindre.
In 2023 Velindre Cancer Centre:
- Received 5,989 new referrals.
- Delivered 50,247 sessions of Radiotherapy.
- Delivered 30,078 Chemotherapy sessions.
- Delivered 131,368 outpatient appointments.
All of these patients will be supported by charity funds at some point during their treatment, from receiving support form a Specialist Nurse to complementary therapies. This support wouldn’t be possible without your fundraising and the money raised by Wear Red.

Trwy godi arian yn ystod un o gemau twrnamaint Chwe Gwlad i wisgo Coch ar Ddydd Gwyl Dewi, mae o gyd yn gwneud gwahaniaeth.
Yn 2023, wnaeth Canolfan Canser Felindre:
- Derbyn 5,989 atgyfeiriadau newydd.
- Darparu 50,247 sesiynau Radiotherapi.
- Darparu 30,078 sesiynau Chemotherapi
- Darparu 131,368 apwyntiadau claf allanol.
