Staff at EE in Merthyr Tydfil have voted to support Velindre as their nominated charity for 2017.

This exciting new partnership will see the employees participating in a variety of events, activities and challenges to raise funds for Wales’ premier cancer centre.

EE’s Head of Site, Alison McCarthy, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Velindre Hospital as our 2017 charity of choice. Lots of the 800+ people working in the site know someone who has been treated at this hospital and all tell tales of the wonderful life saving work and the compassion of the people working there. They really make a difference to people when it’s needed most and as a company we are proud to be associated with them this year.”

Kylie McKee, Deputy Head of Fundraising at Velindre said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen by EE employees as their charity for 2017. We very much look forward to working with them throughout the year to raise vital funds so that Velindre can continue to provide the excellent care, support and treatment to patients and their families dealing with cancer.”
